Landscape P36 2017 Collage on paper 20.5 x 14.3 cm
I have a collage that I cherish deeply. It's an eclectic mix of small, irregularly shaped pieces of paper, torn out from different sources, and carefully arranged in the central area of the surface. The hues of the paper in red, green, and blue complement each other perfectly. In the foreground, bright yellow papers add a pop of colour, while above are tear-outs in light yellow, shades of white, and light grey, creating a beautiful contrast. What makes this piece even more exceptional are the Chinese and English words printed on some of the tear-out papers, with red rubber-stamped post office marks adding to its charm. The texture of the papers is also visible, adding to the artwork's overall appeal. It's an invitation for the viewer's imagination and interpretation. The composition of this abstract collage is stunning, with every piece of paper seemingly pasted casually and freely, but upon closer inspection, it's clear that they are thoughtfully and artistically arranged. The care and attention given by the artist to put everything together is evident. To complete the piece, a signature is placed on the bottom centre right on a small pasted green paper. This artwork is an exquisite treasure. Its natural beauty and creative composition make it a unique and special addition to any art collection, capable of capturing anyone's attention with its artistic flair.
A Peaceful Corner 2020 Watercolour on paper 10 x 14.5 cm
With brush and paint in hand, I stood upon a cliff so grand, And gazed out at the stunning view Of sea and sky of cerulean blue. A crescent beach between two peaks, With waves that crash and shores that speak Of beauty found in every curve, And a sense of peace that will never swerve. I dipped my brush in shades of green, And painted leaves that shone and gleamed, Adding pops of colour to the scene, And texture to the cliffs so serene. The seawater rushed up to the shore, Reflecting the sky and so much more, Creating waves that danced and swirled, And a sense of awe that left me twirled. As I painted with care and love, I felt my soul take flight above, A sense of calm and clarity, And a newfound sense of creativity. And now I share this work with you, A piece of art that's fresh and new, A snapshot of a moment in time, Captured forever in watercolour sublime.
Share Our Harvests In fields of green and gold so grand The farmers toil with heart and hand They sow their seeds, tend to the land And watch their crops grow tall and grand As I watched them work, I came to see A canvas could be just like me A field to sow my creativity With colors bold and lines so free So I plow my canvas, with brush in hand And watch my art take shape and stand And as I create, my soul expands With each new stroke, a new harvest planned And when my canvas is complete I share it with the world, so sweet A bounty born from my retreat A joyous feast, my art to meet So here's to the farmers and their land And to the artists with brush in hand May we all sow and reap so grand And share our harvests throughout the land.
