Retreat 2019 Watercolour on paper 12 x 8.5 cm As I painted this work with watercolour on paper, I sought to capture the essence of mindfulness practice in a peaceful and serene setting. The painting depicts many yogis walking with mindfulness on a path flanked by two rows of trees, creating a beautiful retreat that encourages reflection and introspection. The focus of this painting is on the power of mindfulness to help us live our dreams and achieve inner peace. By relaxing and enjoying the present moment, we can play like children and make seemingly impossible dreams come true. The key is to embrace fun and tranquillity as the basis for our work, so that our thoughts happen automatically, and conscious action with kindness and a clear intention will give us what we want. In this painting, I wanted to convey the sense of peace and clarity that mindfulness can bring to our lives.
