There are many pagodas built all over Myanmar. Once the Venerable Sayadaw U Pandita mentioned that people should build stupas in their hearts. By practicing uninterruptedly in every moment of daily life, people thus build stupas in their hearts. Jimmy painted this series with this understanding. |

When Jimmy's neighbour comes to him unhappy with his life in his studio in Telok Kurau, Jimmy tries to advise him on how to live a peaceful, happy and tolerant life, he explains the compassion of the Buddha and gives an example of how the Buddha uses his compassion to subdue an angry and intoxicated elephant. Many days later, Jimmy began to create the painting. |

This is one of the Chinese paintings created by Jimmy in the 70s. He learned Chinese painting from an art teacher in Secondary school and teachers in NAFA. He continued to practice Chinese painting during that time. His work was selected for National Day Art Exhibition that year. |
