In 2002, Jimmy started a new collection of paintings with the theme of happiness.

Golden shower trees can be seen along the road where Jimmy lives. In 1997, he was delighted to see them in full bloom and was inspired to start the 'Golden Showers' series of paintings to express his emotions of joy and happiness.

There are many pagodas built throughout Myanmar. The Venerable Sayadaw U Pandita once mentioned that people should build a Dhamma Pagoda within their hearts. By practicing Satipatthana uninterruptedly in every moment of daily life, people can build a Dhamma Pagoda within their hearts. With this understanding, Jimmy created a series of paintings.

Jimmy's landscape paintings have continued to evolve since he first began creating them.

Meditation can be practiced while walking and during everyday activities. One day, Jimmy had the idea to create paintings depicting walking meditation, and since then he has started a series of paintings on the subject.

1997 Victory, Acrylic on canvas, 152 x 122 cm

When Jimmy's neighbor came to him, unhappy with his life, at his studio in Telok Kurau, Jimmy offered advice on how to live a peaceful, happy, and tolerant life. He explained the compassion of the Buddha and gave an example of how the Buddha used his compassion to subdue an angry and intoxicated elephant. Many days later, Jimmy began to create this painting.

This evocative painting, featured in Jimmy's solo art show in 1998, is part of a series that captures his emotions and experiences while living in a retreat center surrounded by trees. Through his art, Jimmy invites the viewer to share in his personal journey of reflection and growth.

This painting was inspired by views of Fort Canning Hill and the River Valley Swimming Pool. It was featured in a coffee table edition of the art book 'Singapore - Places, Poems, Paintings' and was exhibited at the National Museum Art Gallery in Singapore in 1993.

The rubber trees that Jimmy saw around the Santisukharama Meditation Centre, where he attended his first meditation retreat, inspired him to create this series of paintings featuring them.

Jimmy creates paintings using images and colors that he invents himself, drawing inspiration from the depths of his heart. In 1991, this painting was exhibited in 'All in One: 25 Years of Art in Singapore; a Touring Exhibition in the United States'.

This painting earned Jimmy a Merit Award at the 1988 IBM Art Award and has since remained in his personal collection. Another painting that won first prize at the same competition has become part of the collection of the Singapore Art Museum.

In 1988, this painting won the overall first prize of the IBM Art Award. It was subsequently acquired by IBM and gifted to the permanent collection of the Singapore Art Museum.

At the beginning of his new artistic journey, Jimmy created figurative paintings as he searched for his own unique expression. This is an oil painting that he created during that time.

1985 Drawing Flag, Oil on canvas, 82 x 61 cm

One day, Jimmy learned that Brother Joseph McNally had founded the St. Patrick's Arts Centre. Admiring him and his work, Jimmy decided to attend the school to study art. This painting was created after he learned to paint from a Western art teacher at St. Patrick's Arts Centre.

This painting is one of Jimmy's artistic explorations of mixed media in the 1980s. It was created to mark his nephew's birthday. In 1983, the painting received a Certificate of Commendation in The Painting of the Year Art Competition.

This is a sketch that Jimmy drew on a canvas panel in preparation for painting. However, he did not continue to paint on it. At that time, he was working for a design firm.

1977 Cat, Ink on paper

This is one of the Chinese paintings that Jimmy created in the 1970s. He learned Chinese painting from an art teacher in secondary school and from teachers at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). During that time, he continued to practice Chinese painting. That year, his work was selected for the National Day Art Exhibition.

1974 Self Portrait, oil on canvas 24 x 18 inches

In 1974, Jimmy created a self-portrait. That same year, his work titled 'Interior' won third prize in the Western Painting Open Group category of the National Art Competition.
