Painting for Joy

Making art has many benefits, in general, it strengthens focus and attention, promotes critical thinking, improves motor skills, builds problem-solving skills, provides an emotional release and reduces stress.

Making a beautiful painting can also inspire and promote positive emotional reactions and that boost self-esteem, joy and happiness.

You will learn to make paintings with the acrylic medium during art-making sessions. You will learn to use art materials and tools effectively and learn techniques to mix and apply colours, to achieve different visual effects. Jimmy will show you examples and demonstrate related techniques to you and give step by step guidance whenever it is needed.

Through painting practice, you will learn about art elements and design principles. You will develop skills to paint and complete your painting, so to finally discover the freedom and ease of painting with this fine art medium.

When you progress further, you will enjoy the freedom of expression in creating your own original painting, either by direct observation, visual reference, studies or imagination with emotions and feeling and enjoy painting.
