1985 Drawing Flag, Oil on canvas, 82 x 61 cm

I had one day learned that Brother Joseph McNally had started St Patrick's Art Centre. As I admired him and his works, I once again went to learn art in his school. This is one of the paintings I did after leaning oil painting from a western art teacher.

1986 Swimmers, Oil on canvas, 92 x 92 cm

At the beginning of my new art journey, I created figurative paintings. I was searching for my own way of expression.

1987 Aerial View (G & B ), Oil on canvas, 90 x 80 cm

I worked out a series of Aerial View paintings, using lines, colors and shapes to arrange my own composition.

1988 Pace,  Oil on canvas, 132 x 122 cm

One of the two paintings that won a prize from IBM Art Award in 1988, this painting won Merit Award, and was kept with me since. The other painting which won First Prize, had become part of Singapore Art Museum's collection.

1989 Unforgettable Beach, Acrylic on canvas, 141 x 47 cm

I made paintings with my own invented images and colors that they were from the inner source of my heart. This painting was exhibited in "Many in One: 25 Years of Art from Singapore; Travelling Exhibition in USA" in 1991

1991 Dance with the Wind, Acrylic on canvas,127 x 127 cm

The rubber trees I saw around the Santisukharama Meditation Centre when I first time joined the meditation retreats there inspired this series of paintings themed around them.

1992 There is a Pool, Acrylic on canvas, 102 x 76 cm

Inspiration of this painting came from the views at Fort Canning Hill and the River Valley Swimming Pool. This painting was documented in coffee table edition art book "Singapore - Places Poems Paintings" and it was exhibited at the National Museum Art Gallery Singapore in 1993.

I painted this painting after having a dream of seeing little lights on tree.

1997 Victory, Acrylic on canvas, 152 x 122 cm

When my neighbors came to me with his grievances about life, I tried to advice him about living in peace and joy and to be forgiving, I explained the nature of Buddha's compassion and, as an illustration, told him the story of how he has used his compassion to subdue an enraged and intoxicated elephant. Many days later I started working on this painting.

1998 Walking Meditation, Acrylic on canvas, 92 x 76

Meditation can be practiced in walking and in daily activities. Ideas of making painting with images of walking meditation arouse in me one day and I started making the Walking Meditation series since then.

2000 Walking Meditation & Pagoda, Acrylic on canvas, 92 x 92 cm

There were many Pagodas constructed everywhere in Myanmar. Once Sayadaw U Pandita mentioned that we should construct Dhamma Pagodas in our heart instead. He explained how we shall construct Dhamma Pagodas in our heart, that is by practising meditation each and every moment in our daily life without a pause. In this way we construct Dhamma Pagodas in our heart. I agreed with him and I painted this series of paintings with that understanding in mind.

2001 Abundance of Joy, Acrylic on canvas, 122 x 92 cm

Golden Showers Trees can be seen along the road at where I live. Feeling joyful seeing them when they were in full blossoms, I started Golden Showers Series since 1997 for expressing emotions of joy and happiness.

The Bougainvillaea series comprises some of the brighter pictures that I have even done. This series of painting were poetic images of joy, offering the prospect of a totally agreeable, happy experience, reflecting moods of buoyancy and confidence at the time.
